The Monte Cicogna family business is located in Lombardy, in the village of Moniga del Garda on the Brescian side of the western shore of Lake Garda. Around the farm, their vineyards are in an extremely exposed position. The influence of the lake and the wooded hill, that gives the farm its name, create a Mediterranean microclimate.
Lugana has to be made of Trebbiano di Lugana o Trebbiano di Soave but there are different stages in the production of Lugana. “Lugana” can be sold at the earliest from January of the following year after harvest. “Lugana Superiore” must be matured for at least 12 months, whereas “Lugana Riserva” at least 24 months, of which 6 in the bottle.

Vinification: maturation in stainless steel for 6 months
