Tenuta l'Ariosa
Cagnulari Sass'Antico
€13,90
In 1926 Tenuta L’Ariosa has found its home in the idyllic, unspoiled hinterland of the Mediterranean island of Sardinia. Here the climatically favored vineyards of the Rau brothers are ideal for the exclusively autochthonous grape varieties that live in symbiosis with the Mediterranean flora.
Craciano (Cagnulari) is widespread in Sardinia, where it was probably brought by Spanish occupiers in the past. It is assumed that the grape variety is a mutation of the Bovale Grande variety. The wines made of Cagnulari are rich in extracts, have strong tannins and are dark red coloured.
Appellation: Isola dei Nuraghi IGT
Vineyard: vineyards near Usini
Vineyard training system: Guyot, Goblet
Vineyard soil: granite with Paleozoic marine sediments
Vinification: maturation in large barrels for 12 months, in stainless steel for 6 months
Food Pairings: grilled or braised meat, game, mature cheese
Characteristics: brilliant ruby red colour, notes of wild berries, berries jam, well-balanced, velvety, strong tannins, long-lasting finish
Awards 2015: Vini buoni d'Italia
Contains sulfites
