Tenuta l'Ariosa

Carignano Pedrastella

In 1926 Tenuta L’Ariosa has found its home in the idyllic, unspoiled hinterland of the Mediterranean island of Sardinia. Here the climatically favored vineyards of the Rau brothers are ideal for the exclusively autochthonous grape varieties that live in symbiosis with the Mediterranean flora.

Carignan (Carignano) is one of the most cultivated grape variety in France. Most time it is cultivated on unsuitable terroirs, why the variety sometime has a bad report due to its too high yields. However, some producer including Tenuta L’Ariosa, have managed to increase the quality and produce exceptional high-quality wines from Carignano.
