The Monte Leone Winery has 5 hectares of vineyards, which are situated on two different sides of the volcano Mount Etna. With the grapes cultivated on the north face the red wines are produced. While on the east side, the altitude and climate are better suited for the white wines.
The Rosso Etna DOC consists of Nerello Mascalese with a small percentage of Nerello Cappuccio. The vines of this wine grow preferably on the flanks of the volcano Mount Etna. Fiery like lava it rolls over the tongue and competes with its cool elegance with other great red wines.
