The small Julius Treis Winery with its 5 hectares of vineyards is located in the Mosel valley. The spectacular steep slopes here are mainly dedicated to Riesling and can only be cultivated by hand. The origin and the fine differences between the vintages can be tasted in every wine, preserving the unique character of each vineyard.
In the wine region Mosel the wines are divided into various predicate levels. Table wine, quality wine, Kabinett, Spätlese, Auslese, Trockenbeerenauslese and Eiswein. There can be produced every level from one vine. The decisive factor is the maturity and the related degree Oechsle of the grapes.
