Gianni Tessari

Tai Rosso

In the province of Verona, right in the heart of the Alpone Valley, is situated the Gianni Tessari Family Winery. Gianni runs his 55 hectares through three DOC regions with great passion and curiosity, as well as an awareness of tradition and a desire to innovate to achieve new goals. Everything can be summed up by Gianni’s motto: “Three territories, one passion: wine”.

All grape varieties and wines that once were called Tocai are now called Tai. This official decree was issued in 2007 after long discussions with the Ministry of Agriculture. Therefore the grape variety Tocai Rosso, which is mainly found in the Colli Berici region above the city of Vicenza, is now called Tai Rosso.
