All grape varieties and wines that once were called Tocai are now called Tai. This official decree was issued in 2007 after long discussions with the Ministry of Agriculture. Therefore the grape variety Tocai Rosso, which is mainly found in the Colli Berici region above the city of Vicenza, is now called Tai Rosso.
