De Vescovi Ulzbach

Teroldego Rotaliano

The De Vescovi family has been growing wine for over four centuries. After having worked all over the world, Giulio De Vescovi joined this great tradition. He had the dream to create great wines from the Teroldego grape of his homeland. The wines combine tradition and region, modernity and history in the best possible way.

The autochthonous Teroldego grape stands out with its purple color, powerful spicy taste and striking tannins. The ancient vine was already mentioned in documents at the end of the 1480s and is related to Lagrein and Syrah. There are several interpretation of the name, like the nomination after the name of a village or due to its characteristic note of tar.
